For Immediate Release:

This year, the annual Forging Industry Association Fall Meeting took place on October 14-16th in Nashville, Tennessee. During this event, several board meetings are held for FIA & FIERF (Forging Industry Education and Research Foundation) Board Directors and Trustees, followed by a day and a half long conference for the rest of the FIA Members.

This conference featured networking events, a variety of guest speakers, and discussion panels.

Representing the company at this event was Trenton Forging’s Director of Manufacturing, Chelsea Lantto; she also serves as an elected Director on the Forging Industry Association Board, as well as the ex officio member of the FIA Safety, Health, & Environment Committee.

Lantto was a part of a four-person discussion panel focused on Workforce Development. In this panel, she shared a presentation that spoke to Trenton Forging’s plans for the future, including recruitment, training, and retention strategies. Engagement, feedback, and support during this discussion were all very positive.

In addition, Lantto accepted an Award of Recognition on behalf of Trenton Forging for their Bronze Anvil Supporter status to FIERF. This supporter status is based on a commitment to donate a certain amount to FIERF annually over a three-year period.

Forging Industry Association Award

As always, Trenton Forging is honored to be a part of the Forging Industry Association and is grateful for the sense of camaraderie among other industry leaders at events like the FIA Fall Meeting.
